OUR STRENGTHS
A LAKESIDE AND CULTURAL HOLIDAY
Choosing the Lake Trasimeno as your holiday destination means combining a lakeside holiday with a cultural holiday.
The privileged position of the campsite Badiaccia on the border between Umbria and Tuscany – only few kilometers from the junction railway station in Terontola – enables you to make amusing excursions in the main historic places. You can visit both major cities like Siena, Arezzo, Perugia, Rome, Florence, Assisi and smaller towns, little gems to discover that will make your holiday unforgettable: the enchanting Cortona, Castiglione del Lago, one of the loveliest villages in Italy, Pienza, which is acknowledged as World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Montepulciano with its “Vino Nobile”, Spello, Spoleto, Città della Pieve and many other places you can easily reach within a few kilometers.
An altitude of 260 meters above the sea level favours a pleasant temperature and a mild climate for most of the time. As well as having a beautiful beach on the lake, the campsite offers a children’s pool and a swimming pool for adults to relax and have fun.
MODERN FACILITIES AND COMFORT
The facilities of Badiaccia Camping Village are modern and well-finished, starting from the blocks of toilets, which are one of the strengths of our structure, conceived with the highest European standards about space and materials, as well as the many equipped sport fields and playgrounds.
Our accommodation solutions have different sizes and layout that can meet the needs of the families and for those who prefer camping, the campsite offers wide and shady pitches. Most of them can benefit from a splendid lake view. If you need water and light connection, extra-large sized pitches or to drain directly on spot, our campsite is the place for you!
SHOPPING AND GOOD FOOD
If you want to go shopping, you can choose among some near shopping centres, such as Valdichiana Outlet Village, Quasar and Centro Commerciale Collestrada.
If you’re a foodie, you can taste the renowned food specialities of the area: pici (thick hand-rolled pasta), T-bone steak (“Fiorentina”), the local pork meat of Norcia, Tuscan cured meats, lake fish, Fagiolina del Trasimeno (Trasimeno beans), olive oil and excellent red and white wine, served in the local taverns and restaurants and in our excellent inner restaurant, too.
